Police: Vets Highway in Holbrook reopens after serious crash

A serious crash involving a bicyclist shut down Veterans Memorial Highway in Holbrook Friday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
The highway was closed from Lincoln Avenue on the Ronkonkoma-Holbrook border to Coates Avenue North in Holbrook, police said.
The Fifth Squad detectives investigating the 12:49 p.m. accident were not immediately available to release details Friday night.
