Vets Highway reopens after crash in Hauppauge, DOT says
A multivehicle accident closed eastbound Route 454/Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge for about an hour during Friday’s morning commute.
The state Department of Transportation website, informny.com, said the accident about 6:30 a.m. closed the roadway at County Center Road, west of the H. Lee Dennison Building.
The roadway reopened about 7:30 a.m., the site said.
A Suffolk County police spokeswoman said there was no indication the accident involved serious injuries.
