Victoria M. Deon, Target shoplifter, used stun gun on worker, Riverhead police say
Riverhead Town police are searching for a 33-year-old woman who they said shoplifted from a Target store on Thursday, then blasted an employee with a stun gun.
The suspect, identified as Victoria M. Deon, was at the store at 1150 Old Country Rd. at about 4 p.m. when she tried to leave with “assorted merchandise,” police said.
An employee tried to stop her, but Deon pulled out a stun gun and shocked the employee before running away toward Route 58, police said.
The victim was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead for treatment of injuries associated with being shocked by the stun gun.
Police said Deon remains at large, and ask anyone with information about the case to call them at 631-727-4500.
