A woman was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, a parole violation and false personation after she walked down the middle of a Riverside road Wednesday morning, forcing cars to swerve around her, police said.

Southampton Town police said that when officers questioned Kendal L. Lindsey, 31, of Riverside, she gave them a fake name in an attempt to avoid being arrested on a parole violation.

Police said the incident occurred on Old Quogue Road at 2:18 a.m.

Lindsey was arrested at the scene and faces arraignment Wednesday in Southampton Town Justice Court.
