Service has been restored to all the homes in Fort Salonga that lost water service for several hours Friday night and early Saturday morning, according to officials.

A break in a 12-inch main occurred on Bread and Cheese Hollow Road near Fort Salonga Road, said Richard Reinfrank, a customer service field operations manager with the Suffolk County Water Authority.

Reinfrank said service was restored at about 5 a.m. Saturday, but that the cause of the break was not immediately determined.
