Suffolk County Police were investigating a Friday car crash in Bohemia that left a pedestrian seriously injured.

Lisa Kirchner, 39, of Ronkonkoma, was driving her 2004 Chrysler Pacifica south on Sycamore Avenue at about 6:50 p.m. when she hit Steven Kearns just south of Madison Street, police said.

Kearns, 48, of West Islip, was transported by helicopter to Stony Brook University Medical Center where he was listed in serious condition with head and internal injuries, police said.

Police said they are not sure if Kearns was trying to cross the road at the time of the crash.

There were no signs of drug or alcohol use, and no charges are anticipated, a police spokesman said.
