Woman killed in head-on crash in Copiague

A Selden woman was killed in a two-car accident early Friday after her car veered into oncoming traffic and struck a sport utility vehicle on Montauk Highway in Copiague, police said.
Janine Colarossi, 22, was pronounced dead at 4:06 a.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, Suffolk County police said.
Kevin Mazur, 50, was driving a 2007 Cadillac Escalade east on Montauk Highway, just east of Great Neck Road, when Colarossi, driving in a westbound lane, veered into Mazur's lane at about 2:40 a.m., police said.
Mazur, of Lindenhurst, and his wife, Jennifer Mazur, 37, also were taken to Good Samaritan for non-life-threatening injuries. Updated information on their conditions was not immediately available.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing, First Squad detectives said. Anyone with information can call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
