Woman rushed to hospital after Shirley house fire
One woman was rushed to Nassau University Medical Center on Thursday afternoon after sustaining injuries in a house fire in Shirley, Suffolk County police said.
Authorities responded to 219 William Floyd Parkway at 1:31 p.m. and the fire is being investigated as criminal in nature, police said.
The extent of the adult woman's injuries wasn't immediately known, officials said.
