Woman who swiped vacuum cleaner sought

Suffolk County police are looking for a woman who stole a Dyson vacuum cleaner from a Commack Target store in March, the Fourth Precinct Crime Section said Friday.

Police released photographs from video surveillance at the Target at 98 Veterans Memorial Hwy., showing a woman with long hair wearing a black and white striped shirt, a black hoodie and a white cap.

Police said the woman entered the store about noon on March 21, put a Dyson vacuum in a cart and walked off without paying. The vacuum was listed at $549, police said.
