Wyandanch crash seriously injures driver, Suffolk police say

Suffolk County police are investigating a one-vehicle crash in Wyandanch that left the driver seriously injured Saturday morning.
A Bay Shore man, 61, was driving a 2005 Kia Sedona minivan northbound on Straight Path when his vehicle crossed over the southbound lanes and crashed into a utility pole near Levey Boulevard around 7 a.m., police said.
The driver, whose name was not released, was taken by Wyandanch Rescue to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment, police said.
No criminality is suspected, police said.
