Wyandanch man charged with DWI after crash that injures four

Suffolk County police said they charged a 64-year-old Wyandanch man with driving while intoxicated after his vehicle was involved in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in North Babylon that left four people injured.

Calvin Davis was driving north on Deer Park Avenue and attempted to turn left onto Garnet Street shortly before 9 p.m. when his 1995 Ford pickup collided with a 2004 Mercedes sport utility vehicle heading south on Deer Park Avenue, police said.

Davis and his two passengers -- a 66-year-old Deer Park man and a 55-year-old Wyandanch woman -- were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, police said.

The male passenger is listed in serious condition. Davis and the female passenger were treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the Mercedes, Jessica Siegel, 24, of Farmingdale, was also taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, where she is being treated for a broken leg.
