Coffin curious? For an extra jolt of scares and selfies, guests waiting outside this haunted house can willingly experience a virtual coffin ride once again this year. For a mere $5, visitors can lie down in the coffin with the lid fully closed. The experience goes on to simulate the coffin going in a hearse, driving to a grave site and the burial. According to the owner, “It’s all based on sounds, smells and movement.”

Halloween was traditionally a kids' holiday — but it's been co-opted by adults who have made haunted attractions scarier and scarier (see coffin ride above!). Luckily, many of these locales realize that and have created toned-down "not-so-scary" versions so the little ones can have some fun as well.
