There will be significant delays and alternate bay assignments for Nassau Inter-County Express

buses at the Rosa Parks Hempstead Transit Center on Monday due to ongoing work by PSEG Long Island, according to a NICE spokesman.

The north side of West Columbia Street will be closed from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., meaning many bus routes will have alternate bay assignments, spokesman Andy Kraus said. Bus routes scheduled for delays include n6, n15, n16, n27, n31/32, n35, n40/41, n48/49, n54/55, n70/71/72 and the Mercy Medical Shuttle.

NICE will deploy additional staff on Monday to help customers locate their desired bus, Kraus said. Customers who need assistance can call 516-336-6600  between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. or visit nicebus.com  for rider tools and schedules.
