Driver dies of injuries in 1-car Deer Park crash

A Queens man who crashed his car into a tree in Deer Park last week has died of his injuries, Suffolk County police said Monday.
Vijay Maraj, 29, of Richmond Hill, had lost control of his 2001 Lexus shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday and hit a tree on Commack Road, police said.
He sustained internal injuries and was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, police said.
Detectives ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call them at 631-854-8152.
