A feud between two young women outside a Hempstead nightclub sent one to the hospital and the other to jail after one cut the other with a sharp object, Nassau County police said Saturday.

Police arrested Brandice Diaz, 24, on charges that she cut her 25-year-old victim on the head, neck and face "with an unknown sharp object," authorities said.

The women had exchanged heated words before the cutting, which happened in a parking lot near Aqua Dulche Lounge on Fulton Avenue at about 4 a.m. on Saturday.

Diaz, of Davidson Street, was arrested at her home about five hours later by detectives from the Williston Park-based Third Squad, police said.

The victim, whose name wasn't made public, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, police said.

Charged with assault and possession of a dangerous weapon, Diaz was to appear Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
