Northport Village Administrator Roland Buzard said in an email that current road conditions across the village were “functional.”

Government offices, most Main Street businesses and restaurants were open. Main Street sidewalks were clear, but parking in the business area is reduced as cleanup continues. Parking is available in several lots.

Major roads are "generally clear & dry" with some wet spots so Buzard cautioned to look for black ice. Tertiary roads in most parts are reported as clear or passable, though many neighborhood streets across Northport remain somewhat rough.

High winds caused snow drifts, particularly on secondary and neighborhood roads still being cleared.

“During the storm, the biggest challenge was the continuous snow and the unrelenting wind, which repeatedly covered the roadways with drifts,” Buzard said. “Crews would clear areas only to return and find the once clean roadway was covered again.”
