'It's a lot of stress, to be honest with you'

Three buses had departed Hicksville by 5 a.m.
Tara Broderick, of Farmingdale, said she usually takes the 7:01 a.m. out of Farmingdale, but she woke up at 3:30 a.m., concerned about how long her commute to work into Manhattan would take.
"I was thinking this was going to be a longer line, she said. "I'm more concerned about getting home."
Broderick said she felt nervous Sunday.
"It’s definitely an inconvenience, but I know railroad workers deserve a fair wage," she said.
Jean Joseph, 45, of Levittown is a nursing manager for Mount Sinai who boarded a shuttle bus in Hicksville shortly before 5 a.m.
He was trying to meet a subway at Howard Beach to get to Columbus Circle.
He said he usually leaves his house at 5:40 to get to the Bellmore train station.
"It's a lot of stress, to be honest with you. I didn't sleep all night. I was thinking about how to get to work," Joseph said. "It is what it is. I understand they have to do what they have to do because they have a family to feed too."
