'No action has been taken'
Earlier, the MTA had warned probationary workers that if they did not show up to work, they risked being fired — something the unions described as illegal.
Rob Free, LIRR president, when asked if any probationary employees had been fired for not showing up, said "no action has been taken."
He added he wants employees to come to work.
"That's their responsibility," Free said.
