Nassau County Legis. Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick), in partnership with local civic associations, will present two disaster response forums this week in Bellmore and Freeport.
The forums will give residents an opportunity to voice their opinions about the emergency response of utility companies and government agencies after superstorm Sandy.
Topics of discussion will include lack of power and communication, accurate information, and coordination and planning.
The Bellmore meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Grand Avenue Middle School, 2301 Grand Ave. The Freeport meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in Freeport High School, 50 S. Brookside Ave.
For more information, contact Denenberg’s office at 516-571-6219.
