The Small Business Assistance Program and S.J. Edwards Inc. will present two health care seminars for small businesses.

The “Health Care Reform/The Affordable Care Act and the Impact on Small Businesses” events will be held at the Freeport Recreation Center, at 130 Merrick Rd.

The first event will be Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. The second will on Wednesday, July 24, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Attendees will learn about finding affordable health insurance for their small businesses, how federal health reform can help reduce business health insurance costs, their rights and responsibilities as employers and tax credits for small businesses that offer health insurance to their employees.

The Small Business Assistance Program is an initiative of Community Health Advocates, a network of organizations across the state that helps consumers and small business get affordable health care and health insurance, according to the program's website.
