2 killed in fiery Sag Harbor car wreck

Two people were killed after the car they were riding in struck a tree and burst into flames in Sag Harbor, Southampton Town police said.
The two were driving west on Brick Kiln Road in a 2006 Ford Mustang about 3:34 p.m. Saturday when the car suddenly left the road and struck a tree, police said.
The impact caused the car to ignite and become engulfed in flames, which were extinguished by the Sag Harbor Fire Department.
The two people were pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not identified them, pending family notification.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
