Two men were slashed and three arrested after a fight broke out in the Times Square subway station predawn on Friday, the NYPD said.

A 24-year-old man was cut in the neck and had wounds on his hands and arms, police said, while a 33-year-old man had cuts to his face. The fight started about 4:30 a.m., police said.

Both men's injuries were not life threatening, and they were taken to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, police said.

It was not clear what started the fight, but three men from Manhattan were arrested and charged with second-degree gang assault, defined as assault by three or more people, police said.

The three arrested were Oscar Gonzalez, 24, Edwin Franco, 24, and Miguel-Sanchez Baltazar, 26, police said.
