If you're in business on Long Island, the place to be yesterday was the Sports & Exhibition Complex at Suffolk County Community College's Brentwood campus for the Hauppauge Industrial Association's 24th annual Trade Show.
The show is the Island's largest such event, attracting about 4,000 people and some 375 exhibitors. And this year it was no different from any other year, HIA president Terri Alessi-Miceli said. Banks, software companies, insurance agencies and music makers were there.
Paul Ferguson of Selden, an Army veteran and president of PFF Music, a production company, was trying to sell copies of his CD "This Is What I Sound Like Live." Proceeds, he said, would go to benefit veterans at the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
