A Lake Grove woman who Suffolk police said was high on drugs in May when she struck and killed a bicyclist in Miller Place and then tried to flee the scene will be arraigned Tuesday in Riverhead County Court on a grand jury indictment, Suffolk County District Attorney Tom Spota’s office announced.

Police said Shellard was driving eastbound on 25A when she fatally struck Kathryn Underdown, 45, of Lake Grove and only stopped after she crashed into another vehicle a tenth of a mile away.

Shellard, 32, pleaded not guilty to the charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Suffolk County Judge Martin Efman will unseal the grand jury indictment Tuesday morning.
