The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program received a check last week for $2,500 from Enterprise Holdings, the corporate parent company of Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Alamo Car Rent A Car and National Car Rental.

The breast cancer program, established in 1980, provides information and support to breast cancer patients, their families and friends.

“Here at Adelphi we are always looking to give back to the community and Enterprise Holdings donating $2,500 to such a great cause made today a special day,” Adelphi’s assistant athletic director Georgette Brown said in a statement.

Enterprise representatives presented the check during a gathering July 19 in Adelphi University’s Center for Recreation and Sport.

“We really wanted to support the Think Pink Campaign that the student athletes are a part of,” Deborah Fischer, Enterprise’ talent acquisition manager, said in a statement. “
