Adelphi hosts free Reiki workshop

Past and current breast cancer patients can attend a free workshop on the Japanese technique of Reiki on April 24 at Adelphi University in Garden City.
The workshop, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., will be held in the University Center at Adelphi, according to an announcement from the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program. Those interested in going must preregister by calling 516-877-4325.
Reiki is an ancient hands-on technique used to reduce stress and accelerate healing, the announcement said. Kathie Lipinski, a licensed Usui/Karuna Reiki master teacher, is the instructor.
The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program is sponsoring the workshop, the announcement said; it is supported by the Long Island 2 Day Walk to Fight Breast Cancer.
