Adelphi's roster of champions
Adelphi is the only Division II women's lacrosse team with four NCAA championships. And the only one with two consecutive titles. Add six All-Americans to those achievements and there is only one conclusion:
Adelphi is a lacrosse dynasty.
And the program's vision looms larger. Coach Joe Spallina is in discussions with Northwestern, winner of five straight Division I titles, to play Adelphi on Long Island next fall in what could be an extraordinary pairing of national champions from different divisions. Adelphi (19-1) earned its latest title with a 17-7 victory over West Chester (Pa.).
