Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino, former GOP candidate Carl Paladino and perennial would-be candidate Donald Trump are scheduled to headline a gun-rights rally Tuesday at the State Capitol.

The rally, organized by the Shooters Committee on Political Education and others, aims to pressure Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and legislators into repealing the Cuomo-backed law the state enacted one month after the Newtown, Conn., school massacre.

"Are You Ready to pay Mr. Cuomo a visit?" asks the group's website. "Are you ready to defend your place in New York, are you ready to defend your home?"-- Yancey Roy
