Every goal Anselmini set for herself, she achieved. From setting the national record in the 2,000-meter steeplechase (6:33.01), to repeating as Federation (6:33.14) and national champion (6:34.69) in the event, Anselmini did everything she set out to do and emerged as the best steeplechase runner in the country. Her time at the national championship in Greensboro, N.C., last weekend was a meet record.
