Andrew Dugue, a senior at New Hyde Park Memorial High School, has been studying the cello for eight years and the piano for eleven years. Since his sophomore year in high school, he has performed with many orchestras including the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, the Orchestra for Talented Youth, the Nassau County All-County Orchestra, and the Sewanhaka Central High School District Orchestra. In addition to performing, Andrew has studied music theory and composition, and is currently working on compositions that integrate classical and jazz music.
Academically, Andrew is enrolled in five AP courses, including Calculus and Physics, and recently earned the honor of AP Scholar with Distinction. He is the first singles member of New Hyde Park Memorial High School’s Varsity Tennis Team and founder of the Lakota Sports Club.
