Anthony Parlato leads Center Moriches in father's memorial tournament

Anthony Parlato recorded eight assists, eight steals, four points and four rebounds to lead Center Moriches over Mattituck, 74-56, at a tournament honoring his late father on Friday night.
Clarence Trent scored a career-high 17 points and added four rebounds and four steals in the first Anthony Parlato HST Memorial Classic. Tyrik Rountree recorded 15 points, six rebounds and five steals. Tyrell Thomas had 11 points and four steals.
The elder Parlato, who died in April, was Vice President of the Moriches Community Center. The center's 5K Run/Walk was renamed to the Anthony Parlato Memorial 5K Run/Walk last June. He was a father, husband, brother, son and uncle.
