Assemb. Fred W. Thiele Jr. (I-Sag Harbor) will be at East Hampton High School Friday to introduce a Suffolk County program aimed at stopping drunken driving.
The program will teach students the perils of drinking and driving and give tips about avoiding riding in a car with a drunken driver.
East Hampton police and representatives from the county’s STOP-DWI program also will be part of the program.
“The more exposure, the better,” Thiele said.
STOP-DWI travels across Suffolk County to different high schools to raise awareness of the problems of drinking and driving.
