In honor of Arbor Day, the Four Harbors Audubon Society is holding a tree party at the Bates House in Frank Melville Memorial Park.

“We want to celebrate how wonderful trees are,” said Sue Krause, president of the Four Harbors Audubon Society. “The tree party is for all the wonderful things trees do for us."

The event from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 30, will feature bird and tree walks, live animals from the Sweetbriar Nature Center, activities for kids and free trees to take home.

The event is free to the public and will be held rain or shine.
