Art-full home takes stage in Hamptons Cottages and Gardens
An East Hampton home full of art and artifacts is featured in the July 1 issue of Hamptons Cottages and Gardens.
Designer James “Ford” Huniford helped bring alive the home of Susan and Steven Jacobson with various pieces of art, ranging from vintage wicker chairs and industrial shelf brackets to mixed-media pieces and pop art, as featured in the magazine.
This three-story home with an open floor plan has seemingly endless windows and small terraces. It’s the perfect setting for an East End couple with an impressive art collection.
Huniford included antique industrial and architectural elements throughout the house, the magazine reports.
The living room boasts a bright painting by Deborah Kass, referencing Andy Warhol’s silk-screen portrait of the famed Elizabeth Taylor, according to the magazine. Over the fireplace hangs a piece of a 20th-century windmill.
It’s all about engaging the eye, reports the magazine.
