Athlete of the week is Comsewogue's Krischer
The featThe senior scored 23, 31 and 25 points in a three-game span last week, including a three-pointer that helped clinch a 60-59 win over Huntington.

History in the sportKrischer has found his strength in shooting since he began playing basketball in first grade for Infant Jesus. He scored 32 points in games against Islip and Hauppauge last year and looks to beat that career high in upcoming games.
What's next?Comsewogue has advanced to the playoffs for the first time in about eight years. Krischer looks forward to playing Hauppauge and Harborfields, which Comsewogue has defeated this season, and Islip, which beat the Warriors by six. "They all look forward to playing against me," Krischer joked. He plans to play basketball in college and is looking at Dowling and Purchase.
The lightning roundCareer highlight? "In the Brookhaven summer league, I hit three threes in 40 seconds. I got fouled on the last three and it was the winning shot."
