'Avatar'Rels to be filmed in New Zealand
James Cameron, left, says he will be returning to New Zealand to film the live-action portions of three sequels to "Avatar," his enormously popular movie about the blue aliens of Pandora, The Associated Press reports. The director made the announcement yesterday in the capital Wellington with producer Jon Landau and Prime Minister John Key. Cameron said he plans to complete principal shooting on the three movies at one time, perhaps over a period of about nine months beginning in 2015. The first sequel won't be released until perhaps around Christmas 2016.
