Reports from county or village police, July 4-10
A 35-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man, both from Coram, were arrested July 6 at The Home Depot store on Sunrise Highway and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. They are accused of stealing power tools.
An unregistered 1993 Nissan Altima on South Clinton Avenue was stolen July 7.
A 1998 UD Tilt truck, with attached trailer holding assorted landscaping equipment, was reported stolen July 9 from Green Velvet Landscaping on Moffitt Boulevard. The truck and the empty trailer were later recovered in Bay Shore and returned.
A washer and dryer were reported missing July 9 from a storage unit on Smithtown Avenue.
Copper piping was reported stolen July 5 from a house on Ash Street; a front window was found pried open.
Police responded to a call of an attack of one individual by another July 7 at a deli on Sunrise Highway.
A man told police he was stopped July 5 by man on Acorn Street and robbed of his headphones and money.
A laptop and projector were discovered missing July 6 at Deer Park High School on Falcon Place.
Money and DVDs were stolen July 7 from a 2001 Mazda parked in a residential driveway on Adams Street.
A diamond watch and cash were stolen July 7 from a locker at LA Fitness Route 110.
Two cookware sets were stolen July 8 from Bed, Bath and Beyond at Airport Plaza.
A Coach bag was snatched from an individual at Route 27A and Wyandanch Avenue on July 7. The robber dropped the bag while fleeing the scene.
Sports gear was reported stolen July 7 from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a house on Great River Road.
Cash and checks were reported stolen July 5 from a lock box in the office of Fresh Ice Cream Co. on Lincoln Avenue.
A burglary was discovered July 5 at a residence on Cottage Drive. Entry had been gained through a basement window. Cash was reported stolen.
Islip
The sideview mirror of a 2009 Toyota was damaged July 8 while the vehicle was parked in a lot on Main Street.
A burglary was discovered July 6 at Executive Computer World on Wellwood Avenue. Computers were reported stolen. Entry was gained through the ceiling via an air-conditioning vent the burglar accessed from an adjacent business.
The air-conditioning vent at Bak & Vogel Paint and Wallpaper on North Wellwood Avenue was discovered pried open July 8 in an apparent attempt to enter the store.
A burglar entered a house on The Boulevard through a rear sliding glass door July 8. Jewelry and money were reported stolen.
An ATV was stolen July 7 from a shed on Ryder Avenue.
A mail box was damaged at a Central Boulevard house July 7.
North Patchogue
The front door glass at the Pepperoni Grill on Waverly Avenue was smashed July 5 to gain entry during a burglary. Cash was reported stolen.
The rear trunk, bumper and windshield of a 1999 Mercury Sable on Loop Drive was spray-painted July 8.
Police were informed July 6 that there was unauthorized use of a credit card at the Target store on Pond Path. The victim had lost the card along with a wallet at the Suffolk Community College campus.
A stereo was stolen from a vehicle on Silver Street on July 4.
A witness told police that two men were seen stealing metal shelves from the Kmart store on Montauk Highway and putting them into a pickup truck July 6.
Windows of a 1995 Mitsubishi Montaro parked at a residence on Alice Road were broken July 5.
A West Islip man, 37, was arrested July 7 at Bob's Stores on Route 27. He is accused of allegedly stealing shoes.
Wyandanch
A 1999 Chevrolet Lumina on Brook Avenue was stolen July 8.
ELSEWHERE
A kayak was discovered stolen July 7 from a residence on Haven Court.
An iPod, a camera and money were reported stolen July 7 from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway on Trainer Court.
A wallet and a cell phone were reported stolen July 5 from a 2008 Chevrolet parked on Blue Spruce Lane. The vehicle had been left unlocked.
A GPS unit and loose change were stolen from an unlocked 2010 Volkswagen on Rhett Court on July 5.
