Babylon PTA to host candidates night
The Babylon school district’s Parent Teacher Association is sponsoring a meet-the-candidates event Monday night for those running for the school board.
Six candidates are competing for four school board seats to be filled in the May 17 election. The event will be at the Babylon Junior-Senior High School. Each candidate have an opportunity to speak briefly, and a question-and-answer session will follow.
The event will start at 7 p.m. and should last about two hours or less, said PTA official Heather Tenety. The school is at 50 Railroad Ave.
