Babylon Town picnic for veterans
Suffolk Legis. Wayne R. Horsley, Town of Babylon Councilwoman Jackie Gordon and the Babylon Town Veterans Advisory Board on Saturday are sponsoring a picnic for veterans and their families.
The Suffolk County Veterans Appreciation Family Picnic will be held at Babylon Town Hall Park in Lindenhurst from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Along with a barbecue lunch and musical entertainment, there will be health screenings, vendors specializing in veterans’ issues and representatives from the American Air Power Museum and Pal-O-Mine Equestrians. There will also be an appearance by 2011 Ms. New York United States Nency Escamilla, who devotes time to charities supporting soldiers and their families.
The event, which is free to veterans and their families, will be held rain or shine.
