Snow, ice and low visibility were causing delays of more than an hour at LaGuardia and Newark-Liberty on Thursday, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Arrivals at LaGuardia were averaging about 1 1/2 hours late, the FAA said. Departure delays varied by destination and the status of incoming flights.

There were no reported delays at Long Island-MacArthur or Kennedy airports.

Officials said air travelers should contact their carriers regarding possible delays or cancellations.
