The Jets defense allowed Baker Mayfield and the Bucs to drive for the winning points once again.

After letting that happen last year in the regular season meeting when they lost 29-27 on a last-second field goal, these current Jets allowed a short touchdown pass from Mayfield to Dennis Houston with three seconds left in the hurry-up drill that capped their work in the two-day joint practices on Wednesday. The drive included three straight completions and a penalty that put the ball at the 1.

"Baker does a really good job in that situation," Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said. "I won’t say exactly how our guys operated that situation.”

Glenn certainly wasn’t happy with the outcome – he said that included himself as the defensive playcaller and mentioned the need to “help them when it comes to defensive calls” -- but he seemed satisfied with the work.

“This is why I wanted to go against this team knowing how they operate in this situation,” he said.
