Bandrowski scores 1,000 career points

Friday was a night of milestones.

On the same night Kristen Doherty scored her 2,000 career point, Jessica Bandrowski reached the 1,000 point mark. The Center Moriches senior scored a game-high 20 in a 52-20 win over Southampton.

Bandrowski made the millenium mark in the third quarter, scoring on a breakaway to the basket and hitting a layup with about three minutes remaining in the third quarter. She had needed 14 points to reach the total coming into the game and now has 1,006 for her career.
