Gold Coast Bank chairman John Tsunis wants students at Stony Brook University to know about a new branch the company is opening in Setauket -- so he's taking the money to them, or at least to their basketball games.
Tsunis said that each time the Seawolves play a home game he will give $100 to a student who scores a basket from about 3 feet out. One student will get one shot per game. If the student does not score a basket, Tsunis said he will raise the prize to $200 at the next game and $300 the one after, as long as no basket is scored.
"I want to acquaint them with the branch and give them [a chance to win] some money," Tsunis said. The color of the ball? Gold, of course.
