Barefoot Contessa Ina Garten's designer makes list

Interior designer and East Hampton resident Robert Stilin has been included in Elle Decor's A-list issue, which recognizes the 25 interior designers who "define our world."

According to the article in the June issue (available May 24), he is known for "carefully edited, serenely contemporary settings that invite laid-back living."

The 44-year-old designer has been operating his design firm in East Hampton for 20 years. Though most of his projects are on the East End, he has multiple completed projects in Manhattan and Palm Beach.

Stilin was chosen to design the 2009 House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year with his friend and client, Barefoot Contessa's Ina Garten, also of East Hampton.
