Bauman's late trey for Jericho tops VS Central

Andrew Bauman (16 points) hit a three-pointer with six seconds remaining to lift Jericho over Valley Stream Central, 65-64, in the Martin Luther King Jr. Classic at Adelphi Sunday.

Joey Gallo, who was named game MVP, had 17 points and Jordan Kanzer had 16 for Jericho (8-3). Marc Augustin scored 32 points for Valley Stream Central.

Our Savior New American 73, St. George (Vancouver) 65: Daouda Soumaoro had 18 points and a school-record 25 rebounds to lead Our Savior New American (5-6) in the semifinals of the Snowball Classic in Vancouver, British Columbia. The 6-11 junior also had four blocks. Franklin Milian scored a game-high 27 points.

Westbury 65, Campus Magnet (Queens) 51: Paris Abrams scored 23 points to lead Westbury (8-3) in the Martin Luther King Jr. Classic at Adelphi. Lamard Herron had 16 points and eight rebounds.

St. John the Baptist 77, Wyandanch 61: Joe Gibbons had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead St. John the Baptist (13-2). Dante Thompson-Smallwood had 20 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Elmont 40, Roosevelt 33: Jasmine Cobbs had 20 points and seven rebounds to lead Elmont (4-7) in the Martin Luther King Jr. Classic at Adelphi. Reauna Dorner had nine points and four assists.
