The annual celebrations leading up to the 143rd running of the Belmont Stakes will begin June 4 with a parade in Elmont and continue June 10 with festivals in Garden City and Floral Park.

The annual Belmont Stakes Parade will start at the Elmont Library at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4, and end at Belmont Park. The festival will continue in the Marquee Tent, located in the backyard area of the park’s clubhouse.

Garden City’s celebration of the final leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 10, on Seventh Street. The Floral Park Belmont Festival will he held from 5 to 10 p.m. the same day on Tulip Avenue.

The New York Racing Association is co-sponsor of the festivals, which will feature food, entertainment, live music and family-friendly activities.
