Hockey and ice skating enthusiasts have a chance to stock up on some gear.

The biannual skate swap sponsored by Huntington Town board member Susan Berland and the Youth Council is going on.

Through Friday, participants are asked to bring their gently used hockey equipment such as helmets with face masks, shoulder pads, elbow pads, jerseys, hockey gloves, hockey sticks, shin pads, hockey pants and skates and figure skates to the official drop-off box at the Dix Hills Ice Rink and receive a voucher.

On Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., you can bring the voucher to shop, swap and socialize with fellow skaters. Even those who have nothing to swap are invited to shop.

The ice rink is at 575 Vanderbilt Pkwy. For more information contact Berland’s office at 631-351-3173.
