Billy Joel tribute band opens Babylon Town concerts

The Town of Babylon will hold the first of several free concerts starting tonight at Overlook Beach.
Tonight’s act — Big Shot, a Billy Joel tribute band — will start at 7:30 p.m. The town’s summer concert series, which begins at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and 7:30 p.m. on Fridays at Tanner Park in Copiague, will continue with the following acts: Full House on July 4; Satisfaction on July 6; Strawberry Fields on July 11; Let’s Hang On on July 13; Arrival from Sweden on July 18; David Cassidy on July 20; Phil Vassar on July 25; Beginnings on July 27; The Del Satins featuring Street Corner Revue on Aug. 1; Who’s Bad on Aug. 3; and Vanilla Fudge on Aug. 10.
