Bilodeau's late points key win for Whitman girls

Kelly Bilodeau hit a layup off an inbound feed from Nicki Giordano with 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter to give Whitman (7-1) a one-point lead in its 50-48 win over Central Islip Thursday in League II girls basketball. Bilodeau, who finished with 13 points and five assists, hit a foul shot with 4.8 seconds left to provide the final margin. Ally Leftridge led Whitman with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Central Islip (2-6) trailed 37-24 at the start of the fourth quarter. Janiece Jenkins scored 17 points for Central Islip.East Islip 55, Half Hollow Hills East 53: Elizabeth Hand made a layup with 40 seconds remaining to put East Islip (6-1) up 54-53 in League III. Bria Green (16 points) hit a three-pointer late in the fourth quarter to put Hills East (0-7) ahead 53-50, but East Islip scored the final five points. Jessica Calamusso had 17 points and 14 rebounds for EI. Laura Hill added 15 points and Paige Meegan had five points, 13 rebounds and three assists.

Harborfields 50, Hauppauge 46: Bridgit Ryan, Kasey Stolba and Lynn Zhong each scored 12 points and Jana Amchin added 10 for Harborfields (8-2) in League V. Lindsey Alfano led Hauppauge (4-6) with a game-high 16 points.

Huntington 32, Comsewogue 26: Raynisha Witherspoon (eight points, 10 rebounds) hit two free throws with 30 seconds remaining to put Huntington (5-5) up 30-26. Colleen Wright's layup 10 seconds later made it 32-26. Jackie Waldron added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Devils. Cindy Edwards and Michelle Rubino each scored nine points for Comsewogue (5-5).

Mount Sinai 60, Amityville 40: Emily Bongiorno scored 19 points and Sarah Shine added 18 points and 10 rebounds for Mount Sinai (8-2) in League VI. Lauren Ferris scored 10 points and Kelsey Lubin had six assists. Raven Price led Amityville (6-4) with 10 points.Bayport-Blue Point 42, East Hampton 31: Brenna Darby scored 11 points for Bayport-Blue Point (3-7). Rebecca Raber added 10 points, six rebounds and seven steals. Kaelyn Ward led East Hampton (1-9) with a game-high 13 points.
