The Long Island Ducks will hold their first blood drive of the season Saturday before hosting the Road Warriors at 7:05 p.m.

The blood drive will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the plaza at Bethpage Ballpark in Central Islip; coaches and Ducks players will be on hand to sign autographs, as will QuackerJack, the team mascot.

Anyone who donates blood will receive a voucher for two free tickets to an upcoming Ducks game, depending on seating availability.

The Ducks have held blood drives twice a season since 2008, said Lauren Brady, a spokesperson for the team. The next drive will take place at the end of the season.

Long Island Blood Services, a division of New York Blood Center, will be on hand at the event and requests that donors have a valid photo or signature identification and be between the ages of 16 and 75 and in good health. They should also weight at least 110 pounds.
